The New South Wales approach to the development of the state’s natural gas reserves has for some time been a riddle – and I know I am not alone in my struggle to understand it.
Put plainly, there has been a terrible lack of political leadership in this state with regard to the issue.
The ascension of Mike Baird has seen some positive interventions.
And there are signs that there is now a genuine desire to progress the issue.
But time is not on our side.
It is time the NSW Government stopped pandering to Alan Jones and activists who campaign on fear and lies.
A Labor Party hell-bent on chasing Green votes in Nimbin and Lismore will do nothing to further the interests of working families of Western Sydney, Newcastle, or the Central Coast.
